  • Overview

     

    Responsibilities

    Will schedule surgical procedures, verification of accuracy in consent preparation, chart assembly with all required documentation, producing daily surgical schedule and communication with surgical services staff. Verify accuracy of surgical service documentation and charges. Will also perform other surgery department duties.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Must have medical office or medical related experience;
    • Medical scheduling and experience with Meditech preferred;
    • Computer keyboarding at 45 wpm minimum;
    • Proficiency with Word and Excel software preferred;
    • Proven track record for excellent phone and interpersonal communications to include professionalism and thoroughness;
    • Must be willing to learn and pay attention to detail;
    • Must have a proven track record for accuracy and be willing to receive performance feedback with a positive attitude;
    • Must work effectively within a large team structure and multiple personalities.

    Schedule: 80 hours per pay period; M - F; hours between 7:00am - 6:00pm; hours and days may vary with the needs of the department.
