    The Digestive Health Institute of Montana offers comprehensive gastroenterological care from the medical management of common digestive complaints to complex disorders of the digestive system and liver. The Digestive Health Institute is seeking those interested in joining a dynamic and growing clinic to fill an Office Assistant position. Our clinic has 10 providers, many with sub-specialties in gastroenterology. The office environment is fast paced with heavy patient volume. A successful candidate will have the ability to adjust to changing work environments, desire the opportunity to cross-train on different roles and responsibilities, and work well in a dynamic team oriented environment.


    Position Summary: Perform a variety of office duties, such as;

    • Schedules procedures, clinical consults, and medical assistant visits for all DHIM facilities.
    • Coordinates hospital procedure scheduling with KRMC Same Day surgery.
    • Coordinates scheduling for outreach procedures and clinics.
    • Monitor and process incoming referrals; track and report key performance metrics.
    • Answer incoming telephone calls to the clinic's scheduling line; provide back up for general telephone reception as needed.
    • Complete appointment reminder calls daily, monitor reminder call system and follow up with exceptions.

    Schedule: Full-Time; 80 hours per pay period; M-F; hours between 8:00am and 5:00pm


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Must have medical office experience.
    • Previous scheduling experience preferred.
    • Excellent phone and interpersonal communications skills required.
    • Excellent organizational skills required.
    • Strong typing and computer skills
    • Must work co-operatively within the business office team
