  • Overview

    Comprehensive MRI department that operates a total of 6 MRI scanners.  Three fixed 3 Tesla MRI scanners( 2-GE  Architect’s, 1 GE HDxt) and one fixed 1.5T MRI scanner (GE Artist) located at The HealthCenter.  One 1.5T MRI scanner (Siemens Aera) located at Kalispell Regional Medical Center (hospital next door).  One Mobile GE 1.5T scanner (GE Voyager) that operates in North Central Montana.

     

    The MRI area at The HealthCenter has recently expanded with new MRI suites and remodel finished in June of 2018. The MRI area at Kalispell Regional was remodeled and finished in September of 2015.  The Mobile MRI was put into service with new coach and scanner in April of 2017.

     

    The MRI department offers all routine MRI services as well as specialty services that include:  breast MRI and MRI guided breast biopsy, cardiac MRI, enterography, defecography, functional MRI, spectroscopy, fetal MRI, prostate MRI, pediatric MRI, and anesthesia assisted MRI.

    Responsibilities

    Position SummaryPerforms MRI imaging studies in an outpatient and trauma setting, including Call and Holiday rotation in the team of technologists on staff.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications: Current ARRT and MT State License.  Previous experience preferred.  Must be adept at assessing patient needs and have excellent interpersonal skills.  Computer proficiency and high comfort level with learning new technical and computer tasks; previous use of Meditech a plus.  Must work effectively within a team structure and be self-directed.  Prefer GE and Siemens experience.
