    The Montana Center for Wellness and Pain Management, a department of The HealthCenter, is proud to offer some of the most comprehensive pain and wellness care in the United States. Our chronic pain physicians are on the cutting edge of minimally invasive interventional techniques, medical management of pain and the treatment of addiction. Their efforts are augmented by the talents of our physical therapist, physician assistants, family nurse practitioner and a host of complementary treatment providers.


    This position works in a team based environment in partnership with all staff in a chronic pain management clinic. Provides individual and group therapy sessions. Plans and implements treatment planning, assessments, and ongoing therapy. Must comply with documentation and all state and federal regulations.


    1. Assesses patients and identifies dynamics, diagnostic elements and provides therapy as indicated.
    2. Demonstrates an understanding of and provides group and individual. Successfully relates therapies to treatment plan and presents information to patients and/or family members.  
    3. Performs and completes initial assessments. Reviews and completes all medical records documentation.
    4. Exhibits an understanding of the importance of treatment planning. Incorporates treatment plan into charting and treatment/case coordination. Suggests approaches/interventions regarding patients to team and coworkers.
    5. Performs accurate and timely documentation. Completes patient notes in a timely manner and meets productivity standards.
    6. Demonstrates a commitment to professionalism while undertaking all tasks and in all interactions with patients, clients, physicians, facility staff and the community at large
    7. Consistently provides effective communication in all areas of psychiatry and to medical providers.    
    8. Communicates effectively with referral sources regarding patient progress and aftercare planning.
    9. Consistently provides and maintains effective communication in all areas of clinic.


    1. Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Social Work and current Montana LCSW, licensure required.
    2. Must possess professional communication skills, and work effectively with a diverse customer and coworker population.
    3. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in mental health treatment programs.
    4. Must have thorough knowledge of evidenced based practice.
    5. Must have a working knowledge as to the following professional services: Psychiatry, Psychology, Social Work and education.
