The Digestive Health Institute of Montana offers comprehensive gastroenterological care from the medical management of common digestive complaints to complex disorders of the digestive system and liver. Seeking those interested in joining a dynamic and growing clinic to fill a Medical Assistant position. Our clinic has 10 providers, many with sub-specialties in gastroenterology. The office environment is fast paced with heavy patient volume. A successful candidate will have the ability to adjust to changing work environments, desire the opportunity to cross-train on different roles and responsibilities, and work well in a dynamic team oriented environment.
Position Summary: Medical Assistant supports physicians and nurse practitioners/physician assistants in caring for GI patients in medical office including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, assisting with physical exams, and documenting medications and history; processing orders and following up on medications, labs, and imaging studies; preparing patients electronic charts prior to visits; providing patient education prior to endoscopy procedures; managing clinical schedules for assigned provider; responding to patient and referring provider inquiries by telephone; facilitating requests for medication refills/ renewals; contacting patients to schedule provider visits and procedures when due for follow up.
Schedule: Fulltime, M-F, hours vary with the needs of the clinic.
